What are my chances of receiving the investigational treatment vs. the placebo?

For AERIFY-1, which includes only former smokers, patients have a 2:1 (~67%) chance of receiving the investigational product vs. the placebo. This assignment process is random, and neither the study staff or you will know which group you are in.

The AERIFY-2 trial includes current and former smokers. Former smokers have a 2:1 (~67%) chance of receiving the study medication versus the placebo, however current smokers in this trial have a 1:1 (50%) chance of receiving the study medication versus the placebo. This process is also randomized, and neither the study staff nor you will know which group you are in.
