How fast does vitiligo spread?

Vitiligo varies from patient to patient in how it is expressed. Non-segmental vitiligo, estimated to affect 90 percent of people with the skin condition, does seem to spread. It appears on both sides of the body in some measure of symmetry. Segmental vitiligo, present in 10 percent of patients, is more stable and less likely to spread.
