Treating Vitiligo

What helps vitiligo go away?

In order to treat vitiligo, some doctors prescribe topical creams such as corticosteroids, which have shown to stop the spread of white patches on some people’s skin and even restore the original pigmentation, or calcineurin inhibitors, which work with the immune system. In approximately 10-20 percent of patients, the skin’s pigment returns and vitiligo goes away on its own.
